"No matter how little money and how few possessions you own, having a dog makes you rich." - Louis Sabin

Thank you, Lola, for making our lives rich. In your short time on earth, you have taught us so much. We will miss your
joy, your intensity, your love and your company. Games of fetch and tug were over the top, greetings were beyond
enthusiastic, and a walk was never turned down... We love you. You will be missed...

Lily was the sweetest most lovable dog anyone would ever want and the best thing for this family
.

RIP Skippy (2012)
Skippy had a rough start and was abused all of his short life prior to coming to our Rescue; he was a confused little guy,
but loved those who cared for him once he trusted you.  Skippy, you touched the hearts of those who cared for you and
at least had a chance to know what love really felt like from those who cared for you.  You are missed .

Willie
Willie was only 2 weeks old when he came to our rescue from Kentucky with his mom, Lily and two siblings, Millie and
Billie.  Little Willie was ill and his little body was not strong enough and he passed at 3 weeks of age on February 7,
2009.  He will be missed.

It is with great sadness that I write this, but Bear is no longer with us.  He battled degenerative neuropathy and
conegenial syndrome for the last several months and departed this earth on June 12, 2008.  Bear was a great companion
to Deb and Scott and to Houtchie (his best buddy).  Although only with Deb and Scott for a short time,
they were the best parents Bear could have ever had!!!  Bear will be deeply missed not only by Deb and Scott (and
Houtchie), but by all whose lives he touched and were fortunate to know him.

A Story about Bear (from Deb):
I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed our new son.  Scott was talking about sending him back and I said I will call
them tomorrow and let them know.  Well that lasted about 2.2 seconds.  He was attached.  Remember I told you how bad
Houtchie was about getting into things.  Well bottom line, I now have a tag team.  One will get food off the counter and
the other will tear it open.  It is not separation anxiety, it is just plain spoiled.  And being bad, well getting back at us.  So
enclosed (photos above) you will find a picture of the duo.  Not in action, but we will be getting motion cameras to see
the real deal in who is doing what.  Who knows you might see us on America's Funniest Videos.  Who would of ever
thought a pair would be so challenging.

I will tell you both, we have had about 3 or more people tell us if we don't keep Bear they will take him.  Or can they have
Bear.  Well of course my answers are no,NO NO NO.  Find your own.  I gave them all your web site.  Hope everything is
going well for all of you and take care.  Thank You again.  Deb&Scott

Memorial

In memory of those who touched our lives and will forever hold a piece of our hearts.........

Betty Waters passed on Saturday, March 18. She was 11 years old.  Betty lived in Havertown with her Mom and
brother Oscar. She loved to sit in the sun and roll around in the snow. She also loved to tease Oscar. In this
picture she is holding on to Oscar's bone. Betty is now in Heaven playing with Wiggles, her sister, who
predeceased her.
